By applying LuxMy products, the different light rays penetrate different layers of the skin and cause the cells/cell walls to vibrate. These movements lead to increased energy production (adenosine triphosphate/ATP) in the cell's "power plants" (mitochondria). This allows the cell to absorb more oxygen and remove waste products more quickly. This relaxes the muscles, supports wound healing, stimulates blood circulation, and regenerates muscle fibers. Furthermore, the blood vessels dilate, allowing for increased oxygen transport. The stimulated blood circulation drains more lymph fluid from the capillary system, which transports cellular "waste products."
The movement of the cells also creates friction and thus internal heat. This can be detected as "increased" heat under the LuxMy products during use, but it is a reflection of the body's own heat.

The underside of the LuxMy pads can be cleaned with a damp cloth. If they become heavily soiled, the LED infrared panel can be removed through a zipper, and the surrounding cover can be cleaned. This makes the LuxMy pads suitable for use on different horses. However, the pad should be completely dry before the next use, and the pads should never be put in the washing machine.

LuxMy products should not be used in cases of acute inflammation. Due to the inflammation, heat is harmful, as it promotes bacterial/virus cell division.

Lichttherapie kann grundsätzlich das Zellwachstum und die Regeneration fördern – genau das macht sie so hilfreich bei der Heilung von Gewebe, Muskeln und Entzündungen.

Bei Tumorzellen ist jedoch Vorsicht geboten: In der wissenschaftlichen Forschung gibt es bislang keine einheitliche Meinung darüber, ob Lichttherapie das Wachstum von Tumorzellen beeinflussen kann. Einige Studien deuten auf mögliche Risiken hin, andere sehen keinen nachweisbaren negativen Effekt.

Da die Datenlage also nicht eindeutig ist, gilt aus Sicherheitsgründen die klare Empfehlung:

👉 Keine Anwendung bei Tumoren, Melanomen oder Verdacht auf Krebs.

Im Zweifel sollte immer der behandelnde Tierarzt oder die Tierärztin einbezogen werden, bevor eine Lichttherapie angewendet wird.
